HBA Announces New Benefit Home Project in Santa Rita Ranch with Scott Felder Homes

April 28, 2021

The Home Builders Association of Greater Austin (HBA) is proud to announce the groundbreaking of a second Benefit Home for 2021. The construction of the home is being donated by Scott Felder Homes on a tract of land provided by Santa Rita Ranch. The groundbreaking took place on April 28 at 10 am at 101 Inspiration Drive. The home should complete sometime in 4Q2021.

“We are so grateful for the support members like Scott Felder Homes and Santa Rita Ranch have continuously shown for the Benefit Home Program,” said Taylor Jackson, CEO of the HBA. “Over the years, this generosity has amounted to the donation of over $1 million to local charities in and around the Austin metroplex.”

The 2,436 square-foot, single story home is based on Scott Felder Homes Rockwood floorplan and features three bedrooms, two bathrooms, study, two dining areas, and family room with fireplace, opening to the well-appointed kitchen. The elegant master suite features a large walk-in closet. An added benefit is the home’s three-car garage.

“Thank you to the entire Santa Rita Ranch team for donating the home site for this benefit home,” said Steve Krasoff, CEO of Scott Felder Homes.  “Your community support is very much appreciated.”

“A big part of our beliefs at Scott Felder Homes is giving back to the community as well.  Throughout the years we have completed many philanthropy projects including HBA Benefit Homes, Tiny Homes at Community First, and many other community outreach projects.  This project in particular warms my heart as 2/3 of the proceeds will be donated to HomeAid Austin.  I am sure HomeAid Austin will put this money to work helping those within their mission with housing needs”, said Krasoff.

The HBA’s Benefit Home Program is the annual construction of a home built mostly – if not entirely – through donations of construction management, materials, supplies, labor and monies of HBA members. The majority of net proceeds from the sale of the home on the open market benefit local charities including the HBA’s charity of choice, HomeAid Austin.

About Santa Rita Ranch

Santa Rita Ranch is a 3,100-acre historical ranch redesigned as a master-planned community with award winning amenities, A-rated schools, a full social calendar, miles of hike and bike trails, breathtaking views, and wide open spaces all nestled in the Texas Hill County and centered around a set of values known as the Ranch Code.   Over 2,000 families have made the choice to put down roots in Santa Rita Ranch so far with more moving in every day.  Santa Rita Ranch now ranks among the top 25 master-planned communities in the nation in terms of new home sales, #4 in the state, and #1 in the Austin area.  With 12 prestigious home builders offering a wide range of diversity in product offerings ranging from the $200’s - $1 mil, Santa Rita Ranch has something for everyone and every stage of life.

I quickly learned that quality and reputation are not the only things that set Scott Felder apart from the other builders I'd seen. Whereas another builder might offer options A,B,C for fixtures, flooring, countertops, etc, Scott Felder has literally hundreds of options for each and every aspect of the house, providing the customer with an experience typically only afforded to those building much more expensive custom homes. So, while I personally prefer more subtle design elements, a customer has all the options at their disposal to build a home that is truly reflective of their own style and personality. This customization, coupled with high quality construction, makes the whole process very exciting.
